Roku Remote Not Working? 8 Fixes That Actually Work
First check which remote you have: a Simple remote uses infrared and needs line of sight; a Voice or “point-anywhere” remote pairs over wireless and may need re-pairing. Replace the batteries, restart the Roku, then hold the pairing button in the battery compartment for about 5 seconds. While you fix it, the Roku mobile app or any remote app can control the Roku over Wi-Fi.
Google TV Pairing Code Not Showing? How to Fix It
The code only appears if the phone reaches the TV over the same local network: no guest Wi-Fi, no VPN. Wake the TV fully, restart it, and if the code still doesn’t show, clear the cache of the “Android TV Remote Service” system app. The code is 6 characters using only 0–9 and A–F and expires after a short time.
Why Your TV Remote App Keeps Disconnecting (and How to Fix It)
Most disconnections come from three things: the phone closes the connection when it locks, the TV gets a new IP address from the router, or the TV turns its Wi-Fi off in standby. Allow Local Network access on iPhone, reserve a fixed IP for the TV in the router, enable network standby, and use an app that reconnects automatically.
